VAHANAS
What is Vahana?
- Since man kind started he saw God as an superior person and tried to apply whatever applicable to him. Man took food and he started offering Naivadya to God, Man was facinated by ornaments and he decorated God with same, Likewise as man used various means of commuting like Chariot he wished God should also to have it. Hence Vahans emerged and took its different forms with passage of time.

Made out of wood and covered by silver used during regular utsavas , carried by two people. |

This latest addition to the group of vahanas is made out of wood and covered by Gold weighing approximately 21 Kgs is completed in the year 1999 by the donation of G.S.B. community people.And is taken out during very special occassions. |

This huge vahana is heaviest of all ,made out of wood and also coverd by silver is also carried by four persons. |

This small wooden vahana is regularly used during small festivals.Bhandi is having provision where either Garuda or Hanumantha statues can be attached on which Lord Venkatesha will be placed. This and will be pulled along the carstreet by Devoties and Lord recives Arathies all along the procession |

| Taken out during some utsavas this Sanna Ratha (small car) is carved out of wood by Thimmappachari in 1909 has beautiful carvings on its bottom portion and top portion is covered by Rows of Red and white flags. |

This Biggest of all vahanas is having height more then an three-storied Building. Resting in its shed year long this royal vahana is taken out only during the Car Festival i.e., on Fifth day of Car festival . Thousands of people Witness this day.It is nothing but an devine power that works when this Brahma Ratha Pulled by hundreds of people Makes its way in to the Narrow Car Street . |
